Spring is for Road Trips – Where are you heading to next?

2026 is America’s 250th Celebration and the Route 66 Centennial – both are the perfect time to hit the road!

It’s that time of year when the weather is improving and the road is calling to head out on an adventure. In northern Arizona, the Route 66 Centennial is in full swing and there are many events taking place in April, May, and throughout the summer.

Here’s a look at some upcoming Route 66 events in Arizona:

April 11, 2026: Route 66 Centennial Celebration in Peach Springs, AZ
What to expect: All-day event from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM (MST). Mix of cultural experiences, live entertainment, and exclusive offers throughout the Hualapai Nation. Historical site tours begin at Veterans Memorial Park, with tribal vendors and cultural experiences at the Hualapai Cultural Center. There will also be carnival games, live music, and children’s activities throughout the day. Diamond Creek Tours depart from the Hualapai Lodge. Giveaways to the first 200 guests.

April 18, 2026: Route 66 Race for Hospice in Kingman, AZ
What to expect: 5K and 10K Races begin at the Powerhouse Visitor Center and raises funds for KRMC’s Joan and Diana Hospice House. There will also be a 1K Race for juniors (12 and under) and a 5K Walk for everyone. The organizers encourage you to “come out and enjoy a beautiful spring day in Kingman along the Mother Road while helping a worthy cause.”

April 23-26, 2026: Route 66 Bike Week (statewide)
What to expect: The rolling rally covers plenty of ground with many activities based at Saddle Sore Ranch, Cool Springs, and Oatman. There will be scenic motorcycle rides throughout this statewide Bike Week. In addition, there will be scavenger hunts, games, vendors, campfire parties, and live music on Saturday night.

April 28, 2026: Route 66 Centennial Celebration and Weenie Walk in Flagstaff, AZ
What to expect: Flagstaff is tapping into the ‘Fun Run’ magic with this inaugural event. There will be a great selection of classic and vintage cars on display in downtown Flagstaff from 4:00 to 8:00 PM (MST). There will also be food and drink specials, local shop deals, and plenty of excitement leading up to this Fun Run.

April 30, 2026: Seligman Centennial Celebration in Seligman, AZ (Birthplace of Historic Route 66 in Arizona)
What to expect: This will be a great daylong party in the town where history was made. Here are just a few of the highlights. Opening Ceremony in Seligman Park (10:00 AM), Route 66 Book Signings by various authors (11:00 AM-1:00 PM), DJ and vendors at Seligman Park (11 AM-2:00 PM), Food trucks on Route 66 (12:00-5:00 PM), Live music with dancing and more throughout Seligman (2:00-5:00 PM), and Angel Delgadillo will receive a proclamation from Yavapai County (5:00 PM). The Seligman event will also have an official Seligman Route 66 Centennial USPS Stamp Cancellation at the Seligman Post Office from 9:00 AM-4:00 PM, although this will not be with the new USPS Route 66 Stamps since their ‘first day’ release is in early May 2026.

May 1-3, 2026: Route 66 Fun Run from Seligman to Topock, AZ (37th Annual Event)
What to expect: More than 800 vehicles will be joining the Historic Route 66 Association of Arizona for a weekend of adventure! History Route 66 Fun Run participants from across the globe will meet in Seligman for this sold-out event to travel a 140-mile stretch of Route 66 with events planned in nearly every community along the way. While the event is sold-out for official vehicles, onlookers are still invited to attend and enjoy in the celebration.

May 15-16, 2026: Ash Fork Heritage on Route 66 Days in Ash Fork, AZ
What to expect: This event features 2 full days of nostalgic fun, food, and small-town pride. Friday night is a community dinner served by the Ash Fork 4-H Club at Ash Fork Joint Unified School District, followed by an original, interactive, family-friendly Route 66 to the Grand Canyon comedy presented live in Ash Fork by Theatrikos Theatre Company of Flagstaff. Saturday’s festivities begin with an old-fashioned parade down historic Lewis Avenue at 10:00 AM (MST). A true hometown tradition, the parade will include horse riders, classic cars, walkers, floats, and local children proudly showing off their hand-decorated bicycles and carts. For car enthusiasts, the highlight will be the Classic Car Show, where gleaming vintage vehicles will be parked for visitors to walk through, admire, and chat with their owners. 

May 29-30, 2026: Holbrook Route 66 Gunslinger Car Show & Festival in Holbrook, AZ
What to expect: May 29th will be a Demolition Derby & Burnout Halftime Show at the Navajo County Fairgrounds at 7:00 PM. $17 admission. Get your tickets at the fairgrounds! May 30th will be a Gunslinger Car Show & Festival at Gillespie Park in downtown Holbrook! 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (MST). Vendors, Little Miss Route 66 Pageant, chili cookoff, cornhole, power wheels balloon derby, beer garden, live bands, pie eating contest, and more family-friendly fun!

June 5-6, 2026: Williams Car Show 2026 in Williams, AZ
What to expect: Make plans to attend the 11th Annual Williams Historic Route 66 Car Show, hosted by the American Legion Cordova Post 13 Family. Set along the legendary Historic Route 66, this event brings together classic car lovers, custom builders, hot rod enthusiasts, veterans, locals, and travelers from all over the country for one of Northern Arizona’s most anticipated automotive weekends. This two-day celebration transforms downtown Williams into a vibrant show-and-shine festival. Historic Route 66 becomes the backdrop for hundreds of stunning vehicles, from vintage classics and muscle cars to customs, trucks, and one-of-a-kind builds.

June 6, 2026: Flagstaff Route 66 Centennial Celebration in Flagstaff, AZ
What to expect: A day-long experience, and a free, family event which includes nostalgic reenactments, classic car show, sky writing, streetscape art installations, and a festival in ‘The only 7,000-foot elevation, pine-fresh, dark-sky city on the Mother Road.’

June 13, 2026: Jack Rabbit Trading Post Car & Bike Show in Joseph City, AZ
What to expect: This inaugural event will be hopping into Joseph City. The car and bike show is from 9:00 AM-2:00 PM (MST) with drawings and trophies at 1:30 PM. The celebration will include door prizes, 50/50 raffle, food vendors, and more! T-shits, dash plaques, and grab bag for all entrants!
