The Sesame Street® Party Parade is a colorful and musical parade that is fun enough to get the whole family dancing. This event features everyone’s favorite Sesame Street® friends, themed floats, fun music, and two show-stopping performances throughout the parade route. At Sea World San Diego, the parade begins near the Orca Encounter and travels along the front walkway toward Explorer’s Reef before it concludes. Along the way, the parade stops twice for a time of dancing and singing – once near the Orca Underwater Viewing area and a second time near Explorer’s Reef.

The parade debut was on May 5th and I had a chance to check out the fun and festivities. Let’s take a look!

Sea World San Diego is the first and only place to see this exclusive parade experience in California. The Sesame Street® Party Parade is scheduled to take place at 4:30 PM on weekends. If you’re planning a visit, be sure to check the Sea World mobile app to confirm showtimes and to upgrade your visit with special event extras. Reserved Parade Seating packages are available for purchase at Guest Services or on the Sea World app.

The Reserved Parade Seating is in front of the Orca Encounter portion on the parade route and has two options – reserved seating (starting at $10.00 each) and VIP Package (reserved seating + light-up necklace, starting at $25.00 each). The seating is bleacher style with a pad, and there is a carpeted area in front for little ones to sit up close to the fun for the Party Parade.

After the parade, you can keep the party going with a special dinner experience. Available weekends from May 5 through July 1, 2018, Dinner with Elmo & Friends is a great way to cap off your parade experience. Share a delicious dinner buffet and enjoy a full serving of hugs and giggles from Elmo and your Sesame Street® friends. Dinner reservation can be made through Guest Services or the Sea World mobile app and costs $25.00 per adult and $20.00 per child (ages 3 – 9). Sea World Pass Member discounts are available. Space is limited, so reserve your seats today.

When you make reservations for Dinner with Elmo & Friends, don’t forget to get your Photo Add-On to receive one 6”x 8” photo of your family with a Sesame Street® friend. Additional photo packages are available that include a digital photo copy for instant download and sharing.

If your little ones are Sesame Street® fans, be sure to check out Sea World’s Bay of Play earlier in the day. Bay of Play is filled with family-friendly fun and rides like Elmo’s Flying Fish, Oscar’s Rocking Eel, and Abby’s Sea Star Spin. This area of Sea World San Diego also features jungle gym fun for the little ones. Sesame Street® friends are at Bay of Play throughout the day. Be sure to visit the Splish Splash store in Bay of Play to bring home Sesame Street® themed souvenirs.
